Welcome to Swiss Vintage Watch Parts.

The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Alexanna Sàrl, trading as Swiss Vintage Watch Parts.

Swiss Vintage Watch Parts operates this website and online store, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide customers with a curated selection of vintage watches, watch parts, components and related items (the “Services”).

Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and any other policies referenced herein (collectively, the “Terms”), describe your rights and responsibilities when using our Services.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our website or purchasing from us.

By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use or access the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

SECTION 2 – ACCESS AND CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS

By using the Services, you confirm that you have the legal capacity required under the laws applicable to you to enter into a binding purchase agreement.

When browsing our store, creating an account or making a purchase, you may be required to provide information including your name, email address, billing information, payment details and shipping address.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied by you is accurate, complete and current.

If you create a customer account, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You may not use the Services for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

SECTION 3 – OUR PRODUCTS

We specialise primarily in vintage watches, watch parts, components, accessories and New Old Stock (“NOS”) items.

Many products offered through our store are several decades old and may be unique, discontinued, difficult to replace or available only in very limited quantities.

We make reasonable efforts to describe and photograph each item accurately. However, the appearance of colours, finishes and surface details may vary depending on lighting, photography, screen settings and the device used to view the product.

Measurements may be approximate unless expressly stated otherwise.

Because many items are vintage or NOS, manufacturing specifications and historical reference information may not always be independently verifiable.

Product descriptions may be corrected or updated where additional information becomes available.

We reserve the right to discontinue products or limit available quantities at any time.

SECTION 4 – VINTAGE, ANTIQUE AND NEW OLD STOCK CONDITION

Many products sold by Swiss Vintage Watch Parts are vintage, antique, pre-owned or New Old Stock and may be several decades old.

Due to their age, manufacturing methods and storage history, such items may display age-related characteristics including, without limitation:

• storage marks;
• patina;
• oxidation;
• discoloration;
• ageing of finishes or coatings;
• minor scratches;
• surface variation;
• ageing of luminous material;
• ageing of seals, gaskets, adhesives or lubricants; and
• other characteristics normally associated with vintage or long-stored goods.

Such characteristics do not constitute a defect where they have been disclosed in the product description, are reasonably visible in the product photographs, or are reasonably consistent with the age and nature of the product.

“NOS” or “New Old Stock” generally means that an item originates from old inventory and is believed not to have been previously used in the ordinary course. It does not mean that the item is equivalent in condition to a newly manufactured modern product.

SECTION 5 – COMPATIBILITY, REFERENCES AND MEASUREMENTS

Information concerning watch references, calibre compatibility, dimensions, part numbers, model applications and similar technical information is provided to the best of our knowledge and based on available information, markings, measurements and reference materials.

Because vintage watch manufacturers frequently produced variations and because watches may have been modified, serviced or fitted with replacement components during their lifetime, compatibility cannot always be guaranteed solely by brand, model or calibre designation.

The buyer is responsible for checking dimensions, reference numbers, calibre information and suitability for their particular watch or intended application before purchasing.

If compatibility is uncertain, we encourage buyers to contact us before placing an order.

SECTION 6 – INSTALLATION AND HANDLING OF WATCH PARTS

Vintage watch components can be delicate and may require specialised knowledge, tools and techniques.

We recommend that watch parts and components be installed, adjusted or repaired by a competent watchmaker or another person with appropriate experience.

Swiss Vintage Watch Parts is not responsible for damage resulting from improper installation, fitting, removal, adjustment, alteration or handling after delivery.

This includes, without limitation, damage caused by:

• forcing components;
• cutting or shortening stems;
• fitting or removing hands;
• modifying dial feet;
• fitting crowns or tubes;
• fitting or removing crystals;
• bending or modifying components;
• opening or servicing movements;
• inappropriate tools; or
• other modification or incorrect installation.

This provision does not affect any mandatory rights you may have where an item itself was defective or materially different from its description at the time of delivery.

SECTION 7 – WATER RESISTANCE OF VINTAGE WATCHES

Unless a product listing expressly states that a watch has been recently tested for water resistance, no water resistance is guaranteed.

A watch may originally have been manufactured as water-resistant or may carry markings referring to water resistance. Due to age, deterioration of seals, gaskets, crowns, crystals or cases, such historical markings should not be relied upon as evidence of current water resistance.

We recommend having any vintage watch professionally inspected and pressure-tested before exposing it to water.

SECTION 8 – ORDERS

By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected product or products.

Receipt of an automated order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of:

• payment problems;
• suspected fraud;
• incorrect pricing;
• incorrect product information;
• inventory errors;
• shipping restrictions; or
• circumstances preventing lawful fulfilment.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the corresponding payment will be refunded.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

Where possible, we may accept cancellation requests before dispatch. Once an order has been packed, entered fulfilment, handed to a carrier or dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory cancellation or withdrawal right available under applicable consumer law.

Commercial buyers, professional watchmakers, restorers, dealers, collectors and resellers are welcome to purchase from Swiss Vintage Watch Parts. Products are not restricted to personal or household use.

SECTION 9 – PRICES, CURRENCY AND PAYMENT

Prices displayed in our store may be shown in different currencies depending on the customer’s location and Shopify Markets settings.

Currency conversions may be performed automatically using exchange rates and conversion mechanisms provided through Shopify and its payment services.

The price payable is the price shown at checkout when the order is submitted, subject to correction of obvious pricing errors.

Shipping charges, applicable taxes and any duties collected by us will be shown at checkout where applicable.

Prices, discounts, promotions and product availability may change without notice.

You agree to provide accurate and complete payment and billing information and confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

SECTION 10 – SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We ship internationally to destinations made available at checkout.

Delivery times shown on the website or during checkout are estimates only unless expressly stated otherwise.

International deliveries may be affected by customs clearance, carrier delays, weather, public holidays, local postal services and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We are not responsible for delays caused solely by carriers, customs authorities or events outside our reasonable control, subject always to any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address.

Where a shipment is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, the customer failed to collect the shipment, or delivery could not be completed for reasons attributable to the customer, additional shipping costs may be deducted from any refund or charged before re-shipment, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

SECTION 11 – IMPORT DUTIES, TAXES AND CUSTOMS

11.1 DDP destinations

For destinations where we offer Delivered Duty Paid (“DDP”) shipping, including the European Union, United Kingdom and United States where indicated at checkout, applicable import duties and import taxes are collected or otherwise covered as part of the transaction and the shipment is sent on a DDP basis.

Customers should therefore not normally be required to pay additional import duties or import taxes upon delivery.

If DDP shipping applies to a particular order, this will be determined by the shipping arrangement applicable at checkout.

11.2 Other international destinations

For destinations where DDP shipping is not offered, shipments are normally made on a basis under which the recipient is responsible for destination-country import charges.

The buyer is responsible for any applicable:

• import VAT or sales taxes;
• customs duties;
• customs processing fees;
• brokerage or clearance fees; and
• other charges imposed by authorities or carriers in the destination country.

Such charges are not included in the purchase price unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

Customers are responsible for checking applicable import requirements in their country before ordering.

SECTION 12 – RETURNS AND 14-DAY RETURN PERIOD

We offer customers worldwide a 14-day return period, subject to the conditions below and to any additional mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

The 14-day period begins on the day the customer receives the goods.

Items returned under our standard return policy must be:

• unused;
• uninstalled;
• unmodified;
• undamaged after delivery; and
• returned in substantially the same condition in which they were received.

For watch parts, an item that has been installed, fitted, cut, shortened, modified, bent, polished, refinished, disassembled or otherwise altered may not qualify for a voluntary return because it may no longer be resellable.

These restrictions do not limit mandatory rights relating to defective, misdescribed or non-conforming goods.

SECTION 13 – RETURN SHIPPING AND RETURN CUSTOMS DOCUMENTATION

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed by us in writing, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

The buyer is also responsible for completing all customs documentation required for the return correctly and for clearly identifying the shipment as returned merchandise / returned goods where appropriate.

The buyer must not incorrectly declare a return as a new commercial sale.

If incorrect or incomplete customs documentation causes import duties, VAT, customs fees, handling fees, brokerage charges or other charges to be imposed on us when receiving the returned goods, we may deduct those amounts from the refund due to the buyer, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We strongly recommend using a return service that provides proof of shipment and appropriate tracking for valuable items.

SECTION 14 – REFUNDS

Once a return is received, we will inspect the item and process any applicable refund in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable law.

Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.

Original shipping charges and return shipping charges may be non-refundable except where reimbursement is required by applicable law or where the return results from an error attributable to us.

Where an item has suffered handling or damage beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, any reduction in refund will be made only where permitted by applicable law.

SECTION 15 – PRODUCT DEFECTS AND STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.

If an item is materially different from its description, incorrect, or subject to a defect for which the seller is legally responsible, please contact us promptly at info@swissvintagewatchparts.com.

The fact that a vintage or NOS item exhibits an age-related characteristic disclosed in the listing, visible in the photographs or reasonably inherent to its age does not by itself mean that the item is defective.

SECTION 16 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS

From time to time, information on the Services may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, measurements, compatibility, pricing, availability, shipping costs or other information.

We reserve the right to correct errors or omissions and update information at any time.

Where an obvious material error affects an order already placed, we may contact the customer to provide the correct information and, where appropriate, offer the choice of proceeding on the corrected basis or cancelling the affected order for a refund.

SECTION 17 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise indicated, the content created for Swiss Vintage Watch Parts, including original photographs, text, graphics, logos, page designs and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to Alexanna Sàrl and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the Services for lawful personal and commercial purchasing purposes.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute or commercially exploit our original photographs, descriptions, branding or website content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party brand names, trademarks and logos appearing in product descriptions or photographs remain the property of their respective owners.

References to watch manufacturers, brands, models and calibres are used for identification, description and compatibility purposes and do not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.

SECTION 18 – OPTIONAL THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

We may provide access to functionality, services or tools provided by third parties.

Such tools may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies of the relevant third-party provider.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

SECTION 19 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Services may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, practices or terms.

Customers should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before using third-party websites or purchasing products or services from them.

SECTION 20 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Swiss Vintage Watch Parts is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

However, any sales and purchases you make through our Store are made directly with Swiss Vintage Watch Parts.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Swiss Vintage Watch Parts, including any injury, damage or loss resulting from purchased products and services.

You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from claims, damages and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Swiss Vintage Watch Parts, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

SECTION 21 – PRIVACY

Personal information collected through the Services is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes certain information in connection with your access to and use of the Services.

Information may be processed by Shopify and other service providers in jurisdictions outside your country of residence where necessary to operate the Services.

SECTION 22 – FEEDBACK, REVIEWS AND USER CONTENT

If you submit reviews, photographs, suggestions, comments or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide such content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, display and use such content in connection with operating and promoting Swiss Vintage Watch Parts, unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, defamatory, infringing or otherwise inappropriate.

SECTION 23 – PROHIBITED USES

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes.

You must not use the Services to:

• violate applicable laws or regulations;
• commit fraud;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• transmit malware or malicious code;
• interfere with the security or operation of the website;

SECTION 25 – DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information provided through the Services is accurate.

However, except for rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis.

In particular, due to the nature of vintage goods, we do not warrant that an item will exhibit the appearance, tolerances, durability or performance expected of a newly manufactured modern item unless expressly stated.

Nothing in this section excludes liability or statutory warranty obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

SECTION 26 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alexanna Sàrl shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from the use or misuse of the Services or products purchased through them.

We are not responsible for damage caused by improper fitting, modification, servicing or handling of watch parts after delivery.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including any mandatory liability for personal injury, fraud, gross negligence or mandatory consumer rights where applicable.

SECTION 27 – INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alexanna Sàrl and its directors, employees, agents and service providers from third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

SECTION 28 – TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services where reasonably necessary, including where these Terms have been materially violated or where misuse, fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.

Any provisions which by their nature are intended to survive termination will remain in effect.

SECTION 29 – SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

SECTION 30 – WAIVER AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT

Failure by us to exercise or enforce a right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

These Terms, together with the policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing use of the Services and purchases made through the store, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.

SECTION 31 – ASSIGNMENT

You may not transfer your contractual rights or obligations under these Terms where doing so would materially affect our rights without our prior consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may transfer rights or obligations associated with the operation of the business where permitted by law, provided that doing so does not unlawfully reduce the rights of customers.

SECTION 32 – GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and contracts entered into with Alexanna Sàrl are governed by Swiss law.

Subject to mandatory rules of jurisdiction, the competent courts at the registered seat of Alexanna Sàrl in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, shall have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law and jurisdiction does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection or mandatory jurisdiction rights that apply to you under applicable law.

SECTION 33 – LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATIONS

These Terms are drafted in English.

Any translations made available through Shopify or by any other automated translation service are provided for convenience only.

In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency, ambiguity or difference in interpretation between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall prevail and shall be the only legally applicable version, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

SECTION 34 – CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes to our Services, business practices or applicable laws.

The current version will be published on this page.

Where required by applicable law, material changes will be communicated appropriately.

Changes will not retrospectively deprive customers of rights relating to orders already concluded.
